Call for Demos
Realizing the Semantic Web requires more than writing and publishing papers. Defining ontologies in communities-of-interest and creating the necessary infrastructure, that creates and deploys shared information are two important cornerstones. The Journal of Web Semantics is a forum for those initiatives, publishing descriptions of ontology initiatives (industrial or academic) and created technologies.
- Ontology/vocabulary Initiative descriptions should not exceed 4 pages. Please describe the domain and purpose of the vocabulary, how the consensus is established. Please also describe what technology you are using, why you choose it and your experiences so far.
- For software please submit code or URLs to the code, together with a short usage description. For submitted software we pose an additional requirement: One major purpose of publications is to enable others to build upon already published results. Therefore the journal requires that the submitted software needs to be available for others in source form, and thus be licensed with an appropriate open source license. Since it is not feasible for the editors to check individual licenses, submitted software needs to come with a license listed on the "Approved Licenses List" from Opensource.org.
Please see Elsevier's Author Instructions for format and submission details.
